What to get for the gardener in your life... these products are all tried and tested by me.
1) Hori Hori Knife
Trowel, hoe, dibber, weeding tool, scissors... the Hori Hori can be used for so many jobs. I mostly use it for weeding and would not be without mine now. This is definitely my most used garden tool.
2) Garden Marker Pen
When writing plant labels, you want to know that the names won't fade in the sun or rain... much better than a Sharpie, this marker will ensure the recipient will always know what seeds they've sown.
3) Plant Labels
I used to use wooden plant labels but I found that these often rot over time and cannot be reused.
For those who grow the same plants year on year, these long-life labels are great - you scratch the name into the label so no amount of weather can remove it. They have a nifty gift box with a scriber so it makes a great present.
The labels I use most are these from The Essentials Company - I use different colours for different types of plants to keep myself organised. Note that you can use nail polish remover to remove any writing, making these reusable (no single-use plastic around here!).

4) Seed Trays
I have a strong hatred for those bright green plastic seed trays which tend to develop cracks within one use. Now I have these high quality module trays which have lasted me years and also have great drainage, which I think produces better quality plants. Note that there are lots of different sizes for your different seed-starting needs.

5) Soil Blockers
If you have followed me for a while, you will know that I love soil blockers for starting seeds. This starter kit is perfect for anyone wanting to try it out for themselves.
6) Cut Flower Patch Workshop
I always love receiving a gift that allows me to learn a new skill, so if that applies to your loved one, why not send them on a Meadow Flower Co. course. My Cut Flower Patch Workshop will take them through setting up their own garden to produce cut flowers in a sustainable way. It is a relaxed event, where they will be sure to pick up tips, tricks and inspiration for their own garden.
