About Me

Flower farmer with hoe, wearing green overalls

How it started

My name is Jess and I have been growing flowers on my family farm since 2021.

My flower farming journey began when I decided to shift my focus from teaching after lockdown. I was shocked to learn about the environmental impact of imorted flowers so decided to grow my own! I am very lucky to have a flower patch on my family's farm, where I grew up.

Having been a science teacher for a decade, I now combine my passion for flowers with my teaching experience to lead courses on flower-arranging and wreath-making. These are held at Hoopers Farm, my family's farm, in our gorgeous workshop location.

Having grown and arranged flowers for my own wedding, I am pleased to provide support for couples who want to do their own flowers but don't know where to start.
