About The Meadow Flower Co
My name is Jess and I set up The Meadow Flower Co in 2020 after finding a love of gardening during lockdown. I have always been a passionate environmentalist and I now combine my love of the outdoors and my knowledge of Science with my teaching experience to provide flowers and courses.
Sustainability
I ensure that, not only do I limit the impact on the environment from my operations, I actively improve biodiversity by:-
- Using "no-dig" production methods.
- Using peat-free (mainly home-made) compost
- Using no pesticides.
- Planting pollinator-friendly varieties
- Avoiding single-use plastic, particularly when growing.
- Only using compostable or recyclable packaging.
Weddings
Having grown and arranged the flowers for my own wedding, I am now offering support to couples who are hoping to do something similar themselves.
Wedding flowers are known for being formal, fussy and expensive, so I can offer couples a totally different experience.
