Frequently Asked Questions
Weddings
What is a Flower Shower?
This is the fun, relaxed workshops I run to support couples to create their own dream wedding flowers. Read more here.
Do you offer fully-installed wedding flowers?
No, I am not a florist and so do not have the staff to create the arrangements for a wedding. If you are looking for a wedding florist who uses my flowers in their designs, pop me a message and I will recommend someone for you.
What times of year can you provide wedding flowers?
As British flowers are seasonal, I can only offer flowers at certain times of the year; April through to September. Dried flowers may be available outside of these times.
What are your wedding flower workshops like?
The workshops are informal and fun; I provide all the materials and instruction needed to create your beautiful wedding flowers, with plenty of support and a glass of prosecco for all involved! This leads to a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can contribute to arranging your dream wedding flowers.
Where do you source the flowers for weddings from?
I aim for all of the flowers to be grown by me on my flower farm in Kent. Sometimes, due to weather, I may have to supplement these with wholesale flowers; this would be included in the price you pay.
How do your flowers compare in price to a traditional wedding florist?
Much of the cost of wedding flowers is the labour required to put the arrangements together. As this is done by your friends and family, it can help to keep the costs below those of a wedding florist.
How long does the workshop take and how many people can attend?
This will depend on what you choose and how many arrangements you plan to have, but usually I suggest 2 hours with about 5 to 8 people. This is something we can discuss during planning.
Flower Subscriptions
Where do you deliver subscriptions?
Deliveries are available in a 6 mile radius from the farm. If your postcode shows you are further away than this, it will not allow you to check out the order. If you are not sure whether I can deliver to you, please contact me.
When do you offer flower subscriptions?
Flower subscriptions are available during the growing season. This is likely to be late April to mid September, but can vary depending on the weather.
How do I choose the dates for my deliveries?
I will e-mail subscribers before the flower season so they can choose the dates they wish to receive flowers. If you need to change the dates, this can be done with at least 2 days' notice (i.e. by the Wednesday before a delivery).
Can I transfer my bouquets to next year?
Unfortunately, we are only able to transfer to another date in the same season.
One-off Bouquets
Do you do one-off bouquets?
Yes, on a limited basis. Our luxury arrangments make a spectacular gift and are available at any time during the flower season. Otherwise, you can order one-off bouquets on selected Fridays.
Can I choose what colours/flowers are used in my bouquet?
The bouquets are made with the best of the flower patch, and this may not always match what you are hoping for - the weather can be fickle! However, get in touch to request anything in particular (at least a few days before the order is due) and I will do my best.
Do you offer funeral arrangements?
Yes, this is something I can do, but bear in mind that, as I do not use floral foam, this would not be a traditional-style arrangement. Please get in touch to discuss how I can help.
Pick Your Own Flowers
Do you offer PYO?
Yes - this will be available for the first time in 2025! Customers can buy tickets for selected PYO sessions - these are going to be on Tuesday afternoon/evenings initially.
How does PYO work?
I will provide you with a bucket that you can fill with blooms and foliage from the flower patch. The bucket holds about 35 stems, which will give you blooms for a couple of bouquets (or lots of bud vases!). Please bring your own vase/bucket to take the blooms home in once you are finished.
Workshops
Where are your workshops held?
Our workshops are based at Hoopers Farm. The exact location (barn, flower field, event space) will depend on the activity, so check the information e-mail carefully.
Do you offer workshops for private groups?
Yes, this is something I can do and is perfect for groups of friends (e.g. for a hen party). I can hold events at my venue or at a location that suits you. Get in touch to discuss what you are looking for.
Do I need to bring anything for the workshops?
Nothing special - I provide tools and equipment for the workshops (although you are welcome to bring your favourite secateurs and gardening gloves). Do bear in mind that some of the workshops might involve being outside, so bringing suitable outdoor clothing and boots is a good idea. If you are unsure, check the information e-mail that I send out a few days prior to the course.
Wholesale Flowers and Foliage
Do you offer wholesale flowers?
Yes, and this is something I am looking to build on as my flower patch expands. If you are interested in wholesale flowers, contact me to discuss further.
What wholesale flowers do you offer?
This varies from week to week, depending on what the plants and weather are up to! Get in touch for more information.
